An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) is a highly trained healthcare professional who provides evidence-based feeding support. In practice, that means I help with the full range of infant feeding challenges—painful or shallow latch, low supply or oversupply, engorgement, pumping and flange sizing, bottle refusal, returning to work, feeding multiples, supporting NICU graduates, and weaning. Whatever your feeding goals are, my job is to help you reach them. You can see all of my services here.

An initial appointment usually takes 90 minutes; follow-ups are often shorter. I'll gather a health history for both you and baby, then observe a full feed—latch, positioning, and measure how much milk baby is transferring—and make hands-on adjustments as we go.
We'll cover flange sizing, pumping, and milk storage if they're relevant to you, and answer every question on your list. You'll finish the visit with a clear feeding and/or pumping plan, so you know exactly what to do until we meet again. I’m available to talk or text in between visits if questions arise.
-
Yes! Virtual visits work well for many concerns—prenatal consultations, pumping and flange questions, milk supply concerns, and building return-to-work or weaning plans. They're also perfect if you live outside my travel area.
All you need is a phone or laptop; I'll guide you through camera angles if we're assessing a feed. You'll get the same clear plan and the same between-visit text access as an in-home appointment.
*Please be aware that not all insurance plans cover virtual visits, but this is something we will confirm prior to the visit. If you don’t have insurance coverage, I charge $125 for a 60-minute virtual visit. Payment will be due at the time of the visit via Zelle or Venmo.

Yes! Between appointments, you can message me with questions through Spruce, a secure, HIPAA-compliant messaging app I use for all client texting and phone calls. If you message me in the evening or on the weekend, I'll reply as soon as possible the next business day.

Yes! A prenatal lactation consultation is one of the best gifts you can give yourself before your baby arrives. We'll cover how milk supply works, what normal newborn feeding looks like, latch and positioning practice, pump setup and flange sizing, hand expression, and anything in your health history that might affect supply.
It's also the perfect low-pressure setting for all those questions to ask a lactation consultant that you've been collecting.

Very often, yes, and in most cases, fully. I'm in-network with major insurance companies and I bill them directly, so there's no paperwork for you. Every plan is different, so you'll complete a quick eligibility check before we book. All the details are on my insurance page. If you have Blue Cross Blue Shield and/or Anthem reach out directly. If I’m not in-network with your insurance, I can provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

For most families I provide services to, nothing. In most cases, insurance covers the visit completely. If that is the case, the only possible cost is a small travel fee depending on your distance from my home office in Highlands Ranch: no fee under 20 minutes, $25 for 20–39 minutes, and $40 for 40+ minutes. I'll always confirm whether a travel fee applies before your first visit. If you're out of network, self-pay visits are $200, and I'll provide you with a receipt you can submit to insurance for possible reimbursement.
-
Absolutely. Pumping support is a huge part of what I do—flange sizing (most moms are using the wrong size!), pump settings, schedules, output troubleshooting, and milk storage. Whether you pump occasionally or exclusively, you deserve support that's just as thorough as breastfeeding help.
-
Yes. I help families introduce a bottle, work through bottle refusal, and build pumping and bottle-feeding routines. I don't only work with exclusively breastfeeding moms; I support exclusive pumpers, families supplementing with breastmilk or formula, and moms who are ready to fully wean from breastfeeding.

I'm trained to perform a functional oral assessment, observing how your baby's tongue and mouth move during a feed and how that affects milk transfer and comfort. I can identify signs of restricted function and explain how they relate to what you're experiencing.
A formal diagnosis, and any decision about a corrective procedure, needs to come from a qualified provider like a pediatrician, pediatric dentist, or ENT—and if a referral makes sense, I'll help you find someone experienced.
-
If you're in Denver or the surrounding suburbs—right here! I come to your home, so there's no office to find and no car seat wrangling required. Live further out? Virtual visits work great for many concerns.
